Chase went to Harvard for a developmental study. They introduced him to different toys and then the experimenter told him she had some work to do. She went to a table in the back of the room to sort papers. While sorting papers she would knock a can to the ground and say "I don't need that." They were monitoring Chase's response to the cans dropping. Chase would stop and look at times and at other times was riveted to the toy that he was playing with. I really think that sometimes children don't hear what we say when they are playing! It was an interesting study and Chase received an elephant.
Christian had his 2-month-old checkup last week. He was 22 3/4 in length, and 11.2 pounds. He is in the 50th percentile for height and 38th for weight. I love this age. He is cooing and happy most of the time. He is sleeping through the night and awake during the day. I'm still his favorite person on the planet, which I'm not sure my two-year-old would say. He is such a joy! I would love for him to stay two months old for another couple of months.
