Day 3

Thomas Edison Museum. Thomas Edison lived here while he worked for the telegraph company. Pretty cool, we saw some of his inventions including the improvements he made over the years to the phonograph.

Day 2

Lewis and Clark Museum in Nebraska Gateway Arch in St. Louis Missouri Facts about Gateway Arch: The Arch is 630 ft. tall. It is made of stainless steel and weighs 43,000 tons. The Arch is an inverted Catenary curve, which is often used in bridges, domes, and arches. The arch is made to sway one inch in a 20 mile an hour wind and up to 18 inches in 150 mile an hour wind. Visiting the arch was definitely worth the stop! Funny story--Steve's parents gave Steve a GPS for Steve's graduation, great little device, and it tried getting us back onto the freeway via the river. There was only one thing missing- a road. However, the GPS was wonderful and was VERY useful in getting us to Winston Salem and getting us around Winston Salem! I'm sure everyone who knows Steve and I and our few mishaps of getting lost can attest to this.

(You never know who's looking over your shoulder.) Sleeping in a KOA in Kentucky. Can you say bugs?! Now take a deep breath and say--very big bugs! I had to tell myself I can do big bugs, I'm tough... Steve says "You were trepid but brave."

Steve's Graduation

Steve graduated from BYU this year! He worked SO hard, I can attest to that. He learned a lot while going to school. I was impressed by his willingness to always serve others around him. He was so busy, yet always took time to help others. Steve will be successful in life because of that. He is on to new challenges and exciting adventures, and I get to go with him! :)

President Gasser's Homecoming

We were able to go to my mission president's homecoming before we left for North Carolina. Sitting there listening to him speak was just like being in Zone Conference. It was a lot of fun. It was also a lot of fun to see old companions and friends. This is Sister Adams, Sister Waldie, and I.
